How CBAM Proof uses cookies on cbamproof.co.uk
Effective date: 9 April 2026 · Version 1.0 · Archimedes Lever Ltd (Co. 16859569)
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website, allowing the site to remember your session while you use it.
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session cookie | Maintains your calculator session so data is not lost between pages | Session (deleted when browser closes) |
| CSRF token | Security token preventing cross-site request forgery on form submissions | Session |
| _ga | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors. Strictly necessary cookies above are always active; this one only loads if you accept it via the consent banner. | 2 years |
| _ga_G-FJ6Z451W4G | Google Analytics — tracks session state for this property. Same consent basis as _ga. | 2 years |
On your first visit, a banner asks whether you'll allow the analytics cookies above. Google Analytics does not load, and no analytics cookie is set, until you click "Accept." Clicking "Decline" dismisses the banner and no analytics cookie is ever set for that visit. Your choice is remembered in your browser so you are not asked again — you can change it at any time via "Cookie preferences" in the footer of any page.
Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled without breaking the platform's core functionality, so no consent is requested for them. Google Analytics is entirely optional — decline it at any point via the consent banner or the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer, with zero effect on your ability to use the calculator or any other part of the site.
When you purchase a paid service, you are directed to a Stripe-hosted checkout page on Stripe's own domain. Cookies set during that step are governed by Stripe's cookie policy, not this one. CBAM Proof does not set any cookies as part of the payment flow itself.
